[ Inside the bag is a deep blue scarf, matching the color of Ryoko's soul gem. It's... far from skillfully made, with uneven stitches and frayed tassels at the end, but what mattered most to Taiga was that she made it with her own two hands. ]

She had figured that Taiga cared a lot about Christmas traditions, sure. She had no idea that she had overheard, or even really cared about the potential stories going around about the scarves. If Ryoko were to receive something like this from her, she was sure she would've gotten something from a store.
It was so imperfect. There were ways it could have been better, but that just confirmed to her that this wasn't anything purchased.
